Hitachi Energy is creating an AI Center of Competence within HVDC Engineering and seeks an AI Program Manager to shape strategy, structure and execution. You will engage global engineering, digital, IT and business stakeholders to drive transformation.

This is a strategic, high-impact role combining program leadership, organizational development, and AI transformation across the HVDC landscape. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in program or portfolio management in complex technical or engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of AI, data and digital transformation concepts.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and technology.
• Strategic thinking combined with execution discipline.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience building new structures, processes or organizations from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI Center of Competence from the ground up with clear vision and governance.
• Develop and execute multi-year AI roadmaps translating business challenges into funded initiatives.
• Mobilize sponsors and champions across HVDC to drive AI adoption and trust.
• Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases across engineering domains.
• Build and govern internal and external AI ecosystems to accelerate innovation.
• Establish governance, delivery standards and performance tracking for value.
