Job summary

Knowit Connectivity is seeking a senior AI architect to turn applied AI into scalable, production-grade systems while helping clients create tangible business value. You will work across the full lifecycle from strategy and architecture to deployment, with knowledge sharing and capability building at the core.

You will split time between client assignments and the AI Advisory Team, shaping AI strategy, evaluating technologies, and establishing practical ways of working with AI across Knowit.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on experience in applied AI across strategy to implementation.
• Experience building production AI applications with LLMs.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation and vector databases.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks and orchestration platforms.
• Strong system architecture and distributed software development background.
• Proficient in Python; cloud experience.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP including monitoring/optimisation.

You're an experienced AI architect who wants to turn applied AI into scalable, production-grade systems while helping clients create tangible business value.

As a senior consultant, you will work across the full lifecycle of applied AI, from strategy and architecture to implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will help clients understand how AI affects their products, workflows, and technical systems, then turn those insights into solutions that are scalable, observable, and trustworthy.

Your time will be divided between client assignments and Knowit Connectivity's AI Advisory Team. Together with senior AI specialists, architects, and business leaders, you will shape AI strategy, develop internal capabilities, evaluate emerging technologies, and establish practical ways of working with AI across the organization.

Your work may include:

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

You bring senior-level, hands-on experience in applied AI and can move comfortably between strategic discussions, architecture decisions, and implementation. You also understand the demands of consulting and can help clients navigate both technical and organisational challenges.

We believe your background includes several of the following:

• Building production applications with large language models

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector databases, and complex information sources

• Agent frameworks and orchestration platforms

• System architecture, distributed systems, and large-scale software development

• Python or a comparable programming language

• Azure, AWS, or GCP, including evaluation, monitoring, and optimisation of AI systems

Experience in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or data engineering is highly valuable. You stay curious as the AI landscape evolves, apply new technology pragmatically, and recognise that strong AI systems require more than a successful prototype.
