Job summary

Saab is seeking an operational product manager to coordinate planning and releases within an agile software environment. You will interface with development leads, release manager, project managers and systems engineers, with close cooperation with the release manager and release engineer.

You will connect development plans with customer project needs, manage sprint planning, risk, and ensure procedures for development, testing and documentation are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience/knowledge of software development.
• Solid understanding of branching models and version management.
• Highly organized and efficient.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ready to take own initiative and to work both independently and in team.
• Ability to work in a complex environment.
• Excellent knowledge in Jira.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor sprints in such a way that the scope of the next release is met.
• Maintain good communication with stakeholders such as RM, development team, project managers and systems engineer.
• Resolve conflicts within the release planning.
• Detect and manage risks in the development process.
• Secure that the development is done in accordance with agreed procedures, including development, testing and documentation.
• Strive for maintaining our branching strategy.
