Job summary

AddSecure is seeking an experienced Accountant with a focus on Accounts Receivable to join our Nordic Finance team in Gothenburg. You will manage day-to-day AR across Nordic entities, support the month-end close, and drive process improvements with automation and stronger controls.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, strong Excel and ERP skills, and fluency in Swedish and English. This position offers an international, collaborative environment within a growing security tech company.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience including AR.
• Experience with high transaction volumes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
• Good Excel skills and ERP systems experience.
• Strong Swedish and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Receivable process across Nordic entities, including invoicing, payment follow-up and collections.
• Reconcile customer accounts, incoming payments and bank transactions, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Handle customer payment inquiries and collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing issues.
• Monitor overdue receivables, maintain ageing reports and support bad debt assessments.
• Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with VAT, tax and statutory reporting, financial reporting and audit documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls and automation.

About the job

As our Accountant – Accounts Receivable, you'll manage the day-to-day Accounts Receivable process across our Nordic entities, ensuring accurate financial records and effective customer account management.

You’ll report to the Nordic Finance Manager and work closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales and Customer Service. Alongside your core AR responsibilities, you’ll contribute to broader accounting activities, financial reporting and month-end closing processes.

You’ll also have the opportunity to improve how we work by simplifying processes, strengthening controls and making better use of digital tools and automation.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Manage the Accounts Receivable process across our Nordic entities, including invoicing, payment follow-up and collections.
• Reconcile customer accounts, incoming payments and bank transactions, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Handle customer payment inquiries and collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing issues.

• Maintain accurate customer financial data and support customer onboarding activities.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls and automation.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in accounting and practical experience in Accounts Receivable. You enjoy working with numbers, solving problems and building good relationships with customers and colleagues.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on experience with invoicing, collections, reconciliations and customer account management.
• Experience working with high transaction volumes.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English.

A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications is preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Pagero is a strong advantage. Experience from an international organisation or a subscription-based business is also valuable.
