Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
  • 1–3 years of CFD and thermal analysis experience.
  • Strong experience in fluid dynamics with 3D CFD methods.
  • Hands-on STAR-CCM+ experience.
  • Experience using ANSA for CAE pre-processing.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Swedish Category B driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 3D CFD simulations related to cooling performance, heat transfer, and energy efficiency optimization.
  • Lead, plan, and execute CFD analyses throughout all phases of product development.
  • Present simulation results to stakeholders in a clear, structured, and actionable manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance CAE methodologies, workflows, and simulation capabilities.
  • Develop and improve data analysis methods using information from CAE simulations, physical testing, and vehicle measurements, including Python-based solutions.
  • Support physical verification activities through simulation correlation and analysis.
  • Contribute to thermal management and cooling performance development within ongoing engineering projects.

We are currently looking for a 3D CFD Engineer to join a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Centre, supporting the development of next‑generation sustainable mobility solutions.

About the Assignment

The Energy Efficiency Centre plays a key role in improving vehicle energy consumption and extending electric driving range for future products.

As part of the Thermal Efficiency Team, you will collaborate with experts in 1D CAE, 3D CAE, and physical testing to develop innovative thermal management solutions. We are looking for a 3D CFD Engineer to strengthen our capabilities in cooling performance and heat management, supporting engineering decisions through advanced simulations and analyses.

Main Responsibilities

As a 3D CFD Engineer, you will:

  • Perform 3D CFD simulations related to cooling performance, heat transfer, and energy efficiency optimization.
  • Lead, plan, and execute CFD analyses throughout all phases of product development.
  • Present simulation results to stakeholders in a clear, structured, and actionable manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance CAE methodologies, workflows, and simulation capabilities.

Required Qualifications
  • University degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience within CFD simulation and thermal analysis.
  • Strong experience in fluid dynamics and thermal analysis using 3D CFD methods.
  • Hands‑on experience with STAR-CCM+.
  • Experience using ANSA for CAE pre-processing.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Valid Swedish Category B driving licence.
Meritorious Qualifications
  • Interest in automotive development, particularly electric vehicles and thermal systems.
  • Knowledge of vehicle thermal management systems and related components.
  • Programming experience in Python and Java.
  • Experience working with Git and software version control.
