Our client, a renowned FMCG manufacturing company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Head of Engineering - MEAT to join their team.
Position Overview:
As the Head of Engineering - MEAT, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within the company's MEAT division. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient operation of the different manufacturing sites across the country and beyond, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the factory.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies and plans to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all factory equipment and machinery, ensuring they are operating at optimal levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in these areas.
- Manage the factory's budget and resources, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology to drive innovation within the factory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 20 years of experience in a similar role, and not less than 10in the POULTRY industry (mandatory)
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and practices (TPM, WCM, CI, Lean, Inventory and spare parts managements, vendor relationship, etc.).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment/machinery.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
