Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Waterpark Package Manager to oversee the development and delivery of waterpark construction projects in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the waterpark package—including civil, structural, MEP works, pools and filtration systems, slides installation, vendor management, QA/QC, budgeting, scheduling, and safety. This role is critical to ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Construction Management
- Lead the planning and execution of all waterpark construction activities, including pools, slides, mechanical systems, pump rooms, and structural works.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and specialist vendors to develop detailed project plans and timelines.
- Oversee subcontractors and installation teams to ensure adherence to the approved schedule.
- Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
Coordination & Stakeholder Communication
- Work closely with design teams, MEP, civil, theming, ELV, attractions, and ride specialists to ensure proper interface and installation quality.
- Facilitate communication with internal teams, clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and alignment.
- Manage contractor and vendor installation for slides, water play structures, wave machines, lazy rivers, and related aquatic systems.
Technical Oversight
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for all waterpark‑related systems.
- Ensure proper installation of pumps, filtration systems, mechanical room equipment, and chemical dosing systems.
- Oversee waterproofing, concrete works, tiling, and pool finishes to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure all works meet QA/QC standards and align with project specifications.
- Conduct inspections, tests, and commissioning procedures.
- Track non‑conformance reports, corrective actions, and maintain all required documentation for close‑out.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Enforce HSE standards and ensure full compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee safe lifting, handling, and installation of large slide components and equipment.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure all subcontractors follow site safety protocols.
Budgeting & Commercial Management
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, expense tracking, and overall financial accountability.
- Review and recommend subcontractor progress payments, variations, and change orders.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
Schedule & Reporting
- Maintain project schedules, look‑ahead plans, and progress trackers.
- Prepare weekly progress reports, risk assessments, and KPI updates.
- Identify potential delays and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Lead testing and commissioning activities for filtration systems, pumps, mechanical rooms, wave machines, surf simulators, and lazy rivers.
- Oversee snagging, operational checks, and ensure smooth handover to the operations team.
- Prepare O&M manuals, training materials, and ensure readiness for operational launch.
- Evaluate project performance and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably in waterparks, aquatics, or recreational facilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local regulations and standards related to waterpark construction and operations.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Passion for waterparks and recreational facilities, with a creative mindset to enhance visitor experience.
