Job summary

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Telemedicine Gastroenterology Registrar in Saudi Arabia. The role involves advanced training to deliver gastroenterology care via telehealth under consultant supervision, adhering to SCFHS guidelines and governance standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing labs and imaging remotely, creating personalized treatment plans, and ensuring thorough EMR documentation. Opportunities for teaching, CME activities, and quality improvement are provided.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency from an accredited program.
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology from an accredited program.
• SCFHS classification and registration as Registrar Gastroenterology.
• Strong clinical judgment with expertise in gastroenterology and hepatology.
• Experience or strong interest in telemedicine-based care.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and telehealth platforms.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemedicine-based gastroenterology care under supervision.
• Review laboratory results and imaging remotely and adjust management plans.
• Identify red flags requiring urgent in-person assessment or hospital referral.
• Develop individualized treatment and monitoring plans in collaboration with consultants.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Participate in telemedicine-driven GI care pathways (e.g., GERD clinics, IBS pathways, liver disease follow-up).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and participate in CME, workshops and conferences.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior doctors when required.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines, telemedicine regulations, and ethical standards.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and virtual audits.
