Job Title: Telecom Cloud Architect Consultant

Job Description:

As a Telecom Cloud Architect Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions tailored specifically for telecommunications infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of our cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect cloud solutions that integrate with existing telecommunications systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Develop architectural plans across multiple areas, considering product roadmaps for 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, edge, MEC, and beyond.

Technical Lead and Coordination:

• Lead and coordinate technical discussions related to current and future cloud platforms for engineering, operations, and product management teams.
• Define technical capabilities required to realize business capabilities across multiple business domains in line with the client roadmap blueprint.

Design and Migration Planning:

• Develop private cloud migration strategies for VNF, CNF, and bare metal environments.
• Plan the migration of on-premises telecommunications systems to the cloud (and vice versa), ensuring a seamless transition.
• Define architecture strategy and technical capabilities for cloud-native network platforms to support development teams within the operators domain.

Networking:

• Apply cloud networking principles and demonstrate an understanding of overlay and underlay networking.

Cost Optimization:

• Advise on cost-effective cloud solutions by optimizing resource allocation and monitoring cloud expenditures.

Automation and Orchestration:

• Utilize automation tools to streamline deployment and management of cloud infrastructure and NF deployment.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

• Design disaster recovery solutions in the cloud, data center, and inter-data center setups.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Collaborate with cross-domain experts to understand requirements related to NF concerning the cloud.
• Design and maintain documentation of cloud architectures.
• Provide expertise across telco Core (Voice and Data), OSS, and orchestration layers.
• Active understanding of open-source networking groups, including CORD, MEC, ONOS, ONAP, OPNFV, and other Linux Foundation Networking projects.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with OpenStack, FusionSphere, FusionStage, OpenShift, Kubernetes (k8s), KVM, and SDS.

Telecommunications Protocols:

• Knowledge of telecommunications protocols and architectures, including software-defined networking products.

Containerization & Orchestration:

• Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in cloud architecture within the telecommunications sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
