Job summary

ALFANAR PROJECTS is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support start-up, testing, and commissioning of water treatment and related systems across DMF, UF, SWRO, BWRO, and associated units in Riyadh. You will monitor plant parameters, perform inspections and maintenance on pumps and dosing systems, calibrate instruments, and ensure safety and compliance with OEM guidelines and company procedures.

This on-site role requires effective communication with peers and supervisors, a proactive approach

Responsibilities

• Support start-up, testing, and commissioning across DMF, UF, SWRO, BWRO, CEDI, GTMDO and chemical injection units.
• Assist in pipeline flushing, hydrotesting, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Monitor plant parameters and record data per OEM guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of pumps and dosing systems.
• Calibrate online conductivity/resistivity, pH, ORP, DO, CO₂, and flow/pressure instruments.
• Conduct routine grab sampling: conductivity, silica, DO & Sodium and reconcile with online analyzers.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors and show openness to directions and feedback.
• Use tools and machineries within efficient cost and time.
• Execute the operational activities as per delivery schedules and work instructions.
• Solve any related issues arise and elevate any complex operational problems.
• Implement the quality standards for products or processes or related activities.
• Execute the tasks as per work routines and instructions.
• Comply to related policy, procedures, and processes.
• Adhere to all Safety procedures and regulations

Job description

TECHNICIAN, MECHANICAL(ALFANAR PROJECTS)

Job Purpose

• Support start up, testing, and commissioning activities across DMF, UF, SWRO, BWRO, CEDI, GTMDO and chemical injection units.
• Support pipeline flushing, hydrotesting, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Monitor plant parameters, record operational data as per OEM guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of pumps and dosing systems.
• Assist in chemical preparation, dosing calibration, and system flushing.
• Carry out routine cleaning of strainers, cartridge filters, and dosing lines.
• Inspect pumps, vacuum pumps, blowers, valves, actuators, and instrumentation for proper operation.
• Monitor chemical storage levels and support safe unloading and transfer of chemicals.
• Perform backwashing, air scouring, and CIP activities for DMF, UF, and RO systems.
• Inspect and replace cartridge filters, check SDI/turbidity, and ensure pretreatment integrity
• Track critical process parameters and water parameters to ensure optimal operation of the plant to avoid any concerns of scaling & fouling.
