Job summary

A leading transportation technology firm in Riyadh is seeking a Technician for Communication Systems to execute preventive and corrective maintenance of COM & SCADA equipment. Candidates must have a Diploma or Bachelor in Electronics or Communications Systems and at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience. You will be responsible for analyzing system disruptions, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Strong knowledge in the metro industry and good computer skills are essential. This role demands high motivation and flexibility to address unanticipated workloads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in maintenance for System COM & SCADA Assets.
• Experience of working in large scale projects ideally within Operations and Maintenance is an added advantage.

Overview

Technician, COM, Communication Systems

Mission

Main Purpose

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of COM & SCADA equipment in accordance with all relevant regulations, good industry practices and international benchmark.
• Analyze disruptions in COM & SCADA equipment and accordingly execute preventive measures in collaboration with Shift Supervisor and external service providers. Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execution of preventive and corrective maintenance including repairing of the systems covered by the maintenance section in accordance with the instructions given by the superior personnel. Reading repair manuals and implementing safe work methodologies.
• Conduct tasks according to work schedules and periodic (daily, weekly, monthly & yearly) inspection plans.
• Preparation of tools and materials required for maintenance activities.
• Preparation of failure documentation and submitting them to superiors through CMMS.
• Monitoring commissioning, testing and trial operation activities of COM & SCADA equipment, reporting of recurring defects & disruptions to concerned Shift Supervisor / Engineer.
• Monitor and Maintain COM & SCADA interface and integration with other disciplines.
• Operation of special tools and measuring devices required to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
• Performing maintenance activities requiring work at height, on track, stations, and depots. Ensuring safety critical communication protocols are followed. Required safety rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
• Other related tasks assigned from superiors (Including those not stated above).

Qualifications

Diploma/Bachelor in Electronics/Communications Systems and minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the field of maintenance for System COM & SCADA Assets preferably in railway / metro organization or other relevant industry.

Knowledge And Skills

• Sound Knowledge in Railway/Metro COM & SCADA system, knowledge of installation and maintenance and current international trends is an added value.
• Good understanding of metro industry related COM & SCADA equipment, equipment inspections and maintenance, O&M network, OCC, TCC etc
• Intellectual capacities.
• Imaginative and progressive.
• Highly motivated and flexibility to work in a time sensitive environment to respond quickly and effectively to unanticipated high workloads, events, and emergencies.
• Ability to read technical manuals and electrical diagrams.
• Comply with quality standards and requirements.
