Job summary

S-Chem in Saudi Arabia is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine repair, corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting on analyzer process equipment to keep plants running reliably.

You will read diagrams, follow work orders, obtain permits, and assist in testing, commissioning and turnarounds while adhering to safety, EHS and quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • Diploma degree or equivalent (Analytical / Instrumentation and Control Engineering).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repair and corrective maintenance on analyzer process equipment and systems.
  • Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Apply for and obtain the type of work permit needed to carry out the maintenance job.
  • Execute plant maintenance activities on process equipment and systems.
  • Execute process equipment and system troubleshooting and rectification.
  • Assist in the testing and commissioning of new and/or modified process equipment and systems.
  • Assist in turnaround maintenance work.
  • Apply risk control measures to ensure work activities are carried out safely.
  • Participates in toolbox meetings prior to starting work activities.
  • Documents works are performed in test forms and condition reports.

Job description

Execute the routine repair corrective maintenance, basic troubleshooting and rectification of analyzer process equipment and systems to maintain their availability and reliability for plant operations. Works under supervision and in compliance with maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Performs the process and activities may include but not limited to:

  • Must be a role model for safety and believe we can "Work safely or not at all” and embrace the Tenets of Operation as a basis for action and decision making.
  • Understands and promotes the concept of proactive safety and takes personal responsibility to seek out “at risk” behaviors and conditions to positively contribute to the overall goal of zero incidents.
  • Reads diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Study the work orders received, understand the work required to be completed and execute them in accord with the workorder requirements
  • Apply for and obtain the type of work permit needed to carry out the maintenance job
  • Execute plant maintenance activities on process equipment and systems.
  • Execute process equipment and system troubleshooting and rectification.
  • Assists in the testing and commissioning of new and/or modified process equipment and systems
  • Assists in turnaround maintenance work.
  • Apply risk control measures to ensure work activities are carried out safely.
  • Apply safety procedures to ensure work activities are performed safely. Compiles with EHS systems.
  • Participates in toolbox meetings prior to starting work activities.
  • Performs good housekeeping in the workplace.
  • Documents works are performed in test forms and condition reports.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures for maintenance work.
  • Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
  • Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
  • Performs any other relevant task as directed by Supervisor Analyzers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma degree or equivalent (Analytical / Instrumentation and Control Engineering).
