Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Team Lead - Operation Quality to deliver world-class quality and drive improvements on the GIS products line.

You will lead quality engineers and technicians, plan team development, and oversee shop-floor quality checks across materials, production and testing processes. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 8–10 years of GIS quality experience, with strong problem-solving and English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in GIS products, quality control or assurance.
• Experience resolving HV site non-conformance.
• Hands-on experience inspecting materials, ISO 9001, process/product auditing, QMS & internal quality auditing.
• Strong problem solving, planning and prioritization; team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality engineers and technicians in a high-quality manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Plan and implement team development, and deliver on performance goals.
• Coordinate shop floor quality checks across incoming materials, production and testing processes.
• Develop processes, templates and work instructions for operations quality and incoming quality.
• Collaborate across departments for deviation detection, NCR follow-ups and root cause analysis.
• Support resolution of quality issues from GIS assembly line or site and drive NCR improvements.
• Participate in internal or external audits (ISO, Hitachi Energy, customer) and close findings.
• Support lean culture implementation and monitor quality strategies for materials, complaints and processes.
• Conduct failure analysis and reports using 8D or similar; uphold HSE requirements.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and implement corrective actions related to NCRs and CCRPs.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Leading team of quality engineers and technicians in a high-quality manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Planning and implementing team development, delivering on performance goals.
• Arranging and performing activities in shop floor related to quality checking of product, material incoming quality, production and testing process.
• Responsibility on process development, procedures, templates and working instructions related operations quality and Incoming quality.
• Collaborating with and empowering all departments for deviation detection, nonconformance follow ups, root cause analysis, correction measures implementation and continuous improvement.
• Supporting in resolving quality issues form GIS assembly line or from site and follow up the NCR related improvement actions.
• Attending and participating in the internal or external audits (ISO, Hitachi Energy, Customer) and work with all departments to close all findings and improvements.
• Participating in organizational changes and lean culture implementation within the BU.
• Implementing and monitoring the quality strategy for materials, customer complaints and processes using predefined quality KPI's.
• Arranging and performing failure analysis, reports using 8D template or similar and sustaining a safe environment by implementing HSE requirements.
• Monitoring supplier quality performance, follow up corrective actions related to NCRs, CCRPs and suppliers.
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in GIS products, Quality control or assurance is preferred.
• Resolving HV Site Non conformance.
• Hands of experience in inspection of material, ISO 9001, process or product auditing, QMS & internal quality auditing is preferred.
• Sound problem solving, planning and prioritizing and as a team player should be advantageous.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
