Job summary

Almarai is seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of automated and non-automated warehousing equipment, aligned with business needs. You will perform hands-on repair and maintenance of material handling equipment and diagnose faults in electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.

You will support installation teams, assist with commissioning, and help recover from long and short-term stoppages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA).
• Hands-on PLC programming knowledge (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider).
• Experience in control systems design, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
• Good verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix electrical, electronic & mechanical faults.

About the Role:

To ensure the safe, reliable, and effective operation of all automated and non automated warehousing materials handling equipment and systems to meet Almarai business requirements.

• Hands on repair and maintenance of automated material handling equipment.


• Diagnose and fix the electrical, electronic & mechanical faults.


• Assist the installation teams with the preparation and installation of automatic materials handling equipment.


• Supporting the operation with the recovery and resolution of all short term and long-term faults/stoppages.

Requirements:

• Must be holding bachelor’s degree in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.


• Proven experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA).


• Hands‑on knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider).


• Experience in control systems design, troubleshooting, and commissioning.


• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).


• Good verbal and written communication English skills.


• Must have competencies such as: Ability to plan and organize multiple activities simultaneously. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Good interpersonal skills, Positive enthusiastic attitude towards work.
