Position Summary:

The Survey Engineer conducts topographic, boundary, and constructionaddin layout surveys using advanced equipment such as total stations and GPS, ensuring accurate data collection for project teams. They analyze and process survey data, prepare reports and maps, perform quality checks, and maintain survey equipment while supervising and training junior staff. The role involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors to resolve survey-related issues, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and adhere to safety protocols on site.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction layout surveys using total stations, GPS, and other survey equipment.
  • Analyze survey data and prepare reports, maps, and drawings for use by project teams.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of survey data.
  • Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Train and supervise junior survey staff on proper survey techniques and procedures.
  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure survey requirements are met.
  • Conduct quality control checks on survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Keep accurate records of survey data, including field notes, sketches, and digital files.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any survey-related issues or concerns.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures on job sites.
