Job summary

A leading company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Inventory Accounting Supervisor to oversee and supervise the accounting function related to inventory. The role involves developing policies, monitoring daily activities and KPIs, and leading the staff. A BA in Finance/Accounting with at least 6 years of relevant experience, including auditing, is required. Knowledge of IFRS and management principles is essential. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic finance environment within the Makkah Region.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in the related work area is necessary.
  • Auditing experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of Accounting Principles on financial and cost is essential.
  • Knowledge of Internal Control concepts and Management Accounting is important.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is necessary.
  • Basic Management Principles should be known.

Job description
Overview

Oversee and supervise the Inventory Accounting function by applying generally accepted accounting principles to review, analyze and prepare inventory related financial information. Communicate monthly inventory results to senior financial management and take care of the requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a manual on inventory accounting reporting policy and procedure, and participate in preparation of the physical inventory procedure. Ensure proper handling and execution of the inventory task list by distributing it equally among the staff.
  • Monitor the unit day-to-day activities and reports to the superior major issues. Also checks the progress of the unit KPIs and goals and that appropriate actions are taken to achieve them.
  • Set up and monitor the execution of unit goals and KPI's aligned with the department objectives.
  • Supervise, lead, train and motivate staff to ensure assigned responsibilities, tasks, and instructions are performed properly and timely. Coordinate with all concerned sections/departments, the inventory reporting requirements, ensuring it is strictly followed.
  • Check, monitor, and coordinate with focal points of MFT, MMS, PP, SPS, SDU, SAP consultants, PIM engineers, process engineers and CPD concerning the complete, accurate and timely reporting of inventory movements for refined and monomer products.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Operation Accounting Section Head
Minimum Requirements
  • BA in Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in the related work area

  • Basic Internal Control concepts and Management Accounting, International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), Basic Management Principles
