Position Summary
The Supervisor – Food Safety supports the governance and compliance of food safety standards across catering operations within Qiddiya Workers Villages. The role ensures that hygiene practices, inspections, documentation, and corrective actions are consistently implemented to meet Saudi regulations, International, and Qiddiya standards, maintaining audit readiness and protecting resident health.
Key Purpose of the Role
To ensure effective food safety control and continuous compliance across kitchens and dining facilities through inspections, training verification, and corrective action follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor food safety controls (HACCP/FSMS principles) across kitchens and dining halls.
- Conduct routine hygiene inspections, temperature checks, and food safety verification activities.
- Maintain food safety documentation, logs, and inspection records to ensure audit readiness.
- Support investigations and corrective actions for food safety incidents, complaints, or non-conformities.
- Verify staff hygiene, medical fitness, and required food safety training compliance.
- Coordinate with Quality and HSE teams for audit planning, reporting, and improvement actions.
- Provide on-site coaching to catering teams to reinforce safe food handling practices.
Key Deliverables & Accountabilities
- Completed inspection schedules with documented findings and corrective actions.
- Up-to-date food safety records and compliance logs.
- Non-conformance reports and closure evidence within agreed timelines.
- Verified staff food safety certification/training compliance reports.
- Support for internal/external audits and regulatory inspections.

- Food safety inspection compliance rate.
- Non-conformance closure rate within target timelines.
- Audit score and reduction in repeated non-conformities.

Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Public Health, Nutrition, or related field.
- Food safety certifications preferred (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000 awareness, food handler certifications as applicable).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety supervision within catering, hospitality, or institutional food services.
- Experience supporting audits and implementing food safety compliance programs.

External: Catering contractor representatives, auditors/inspectors, and regulatory stakeholders when required.

- Ensure full compliance with Qiddiya HSE policies and Saudi regulatory requirements.
- Promote a safety-first culture across teams and service providers.
- Ensure staff and contractors adhere to safety and quality standards.
