Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer to join our PMC team for major transportation infrastructure projects. The role focuses on reviewing structural design deliverables, coordinating across design, construction, and interfaces, and ensuring alignment with project scope, quality, schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in stations projects (rail, metro, or airport) and at least 10 years in structural engineering, preferably within PMC or client-side

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization or strong experience in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Proven experience on stations projects, such as rail, metro, or airport developments.
• Prior experience in a PMC, supervision consultant, or client-side project environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of structural design review, construction coordination, and site supervision processes.
• Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel structural systems commonly used in transportation and station projects.
• Ability to review drawings, calculations, technical submittals, and construction methodologies.
• Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Candidates with KSA project experience will be preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant international codes and regional standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review structural design submissions, calculations, drawings, and technical reports for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Monitor and coordinate structural engineering activities across design, construction, and interface stages.
• Support the PMC team in ensuring that structural works are delivered in line with project scope, quality standards, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, MEP, and interface teams to resolve structural design and site-related issues.
• Review contractor and consultant submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals related to structural works.
• Participate in technical meetings, design review workshops, and coordination sessions with project stakeholders.
• Identify structural risks, design conflicts, and constructability concerns, and support timely resolution.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as required to monitor progress, quality, and compliance of structural works.
• Support the review of RFIs, NCRs, technical queries, and change requests related to structural elements.
• Prepare technical comments, progress updates, and reports for internal and client-facing PMC documentation.

Context

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Project Management Consultant (PMC) team for major transportation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in stations projects, including rail, metro, or airport developments, and will support the review, coordination, and monitoring of structural design and execution activities across the project lifecycle.

Missions/Main Duties

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing structural engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, design standards, safety expectations, and construction objectives. The role requires close coordination with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams within a PMC environment.

Key Responsibilities
