Job summary

Musco Saudi Arabia seeks a Purchasing Specialist for our Dammam office. Lead supplier evaluation, negotiate contracts, and develop relationships for our new Manufacturing Facility.

The role requires collaboration with engineers, production, and suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets. 3–5 years purchasing experience preferred; a business or engineering degree is ideal, with fluency in English and Arabic and strong Excel/Office365 skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years purchasing experience preferred.
• Business or Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent years' experience.
• Working knowledge of purchasing systems and negotiation techniques.
• Bilingual in English and Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated to work independently.
• Proficient with Office365 programs, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Identify and negotiate with contract suppliers for materials, supplies, equipment and/or services.
• Establish and maintain procedures for improvements in quality, delivery, service and price.
• Support minimizing inventory while preventing backorders or production disruptions.
• Provide technical assistance to interpret and resolve procurement issues.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with engineers, production, and suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Calculate and prepare cost comparison requests for Purchasing, Engineering and Production projects.
• Search for firms with manufacturing capabilities and evaluate their reliability and capacity.
