Job summary

TalentHunt seeks an experienced Data Management Office Director to lead data governance, strategy, and stewardship for a Government Entity in Saudi Arabia. You will shape policies, drive data quality and lifecycle initiatives, and align data governance with national standards.

This senior role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and executive communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and ensure compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or related disciplines, including leadership or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Solid understanding of Saudi national regulations related to data management, governance, and protection.
• Proven experience leading strategic data initiatives and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, change management, and executive communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s Data Strategy and Data Management Office roadmap in alignment with objectives and standards.
• Establish and oversee data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead initiatives related to data quality, data classification, data protection, metadata management, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee the development and continuous improvement of policies governing data management practices.
• Enable effective use of data to support executive decision-making and organizational performance.
• Ensure compliance with national data management, governance, and protection requirements.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across functions.
• Oversee data sharing, open data, master data, and other data management domains.
• Define and monitor Data Management Office KPIs, data maturity indicators, and quality metrics.
• Promote a data-driven culture and awareness of governance practices.
• Build, lead, and develop the Data Management Office team and deliver against priorities.
