DHL Global Forwarding in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Strategic Customer Director to lead and execute high-impact sales strategies across a key sector. You will supervise cross-functional teams, shape pricing and product policies, and drive growth while managing major client relationships.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years of senior experience in sales or strategic accounts, with a proven track record in negotiations and cross-functional leadership.

In this Strategic Customer Director position

• Define a small sector's sales strategy in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies
• Cascade and monitor delivery of sales objectives across the small sector
• Lead, oversee and control highly strategic activities and initiatives across the sector with significant impact on overall results and very high business risk potential
• Drive market acquisition and retention strategies in order to maximize sales growth and optimize profits for the sector
• Drive customer retention, business growth and profitability for the sector
• Approve pricing, product mix, and brand portfolio policies for the small sector
• Support sector’s customer strategies, contract negotiations and supply chain management strategy
• Define improvement areas based on pipeline reporting in collaboration with sales effectiveness
• Validate the value of key technologies and industry development and identify change needs within the sector’s sales function
• Master sales performance and refine sector’s sales strategies as required
• Support key sector’s customers and drive collaboration and cross selling activities
• Set up systems for monitoring competitive activity and dissemination of information and best practices to relevant parties
• Establish appropriate processes and infrastructure to support growth, sales performance and optimize resource utilization
• Formulate and roll out mechanisms to ensure a small sector’s sales performance management reporting
• Direct and approve a small sector’s sales strategy and development projects
• Introduce and embed world class sales practices at small sector level
• Analyze complex issues extensively and conceptualize improvements/ changes in sales methods and techniques
• Deliver innovation that directly influence the way the sector is operating and making money
• Reach agreement with external parties to accept complete proposals and programs where there is little interest in cooperating or participating
• Negotiate and authorize critical agreements/ contracts, changing terms and conditions significantly where required
• Lead, direct, coach and develop performance of a small sector’s sales team
• Negotiate critical agreements/contracts with other departments and 3rd parties
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across DHL and partner organizations
• Influence others across DHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group
• Champion cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems
• Lead multiple teams of executives, directors/senior managers, and managers
• Ensure appropriate talent selection, organization and leadership for major areas of the organization
