DHL Global Forwarding in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a CFO to lead the finance function, shape the country’s finance strategy, and drive financial health across operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree and more than 10 years of senior financial leadership experience in a multinational, with expertise across Controlling, Accounting, and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and budget for finance function with emphasis on operational finance in the country
• Define country finance strategy including Controlling, Accounting, planning, analysis, reporting and budgets
• Lead multiple finance teams and ensure timely, accurate financial services and processes
• Provide guidance on financial matters to senior business teams and external parties
• Improve financial processes, systems and methods for efficiency
• Negotiate critical agreements with other departments and third parties
• Develop relationships with senior leaders across DHL and partner organizations
• Be a recognized thought leader representing the group internally and externally

In this CFO position

• Craft comprehensive strategy and, lead as line and budget manager for finance function with higher focus on operational finance activities of the country
• Contribute to the definition of the Finance strategy for a medium to large country including all financial management services (Controlling as well as Accounting side), planning, analysis, reporting and budgets considering country business strategy, financial policies, legal framework and accounting standards
• Lead, plan, organize and deliver Finance initiatives, services and processes related to two or more of the Finance Job Families (e.g. a combination of RTR, PTP and Controlling activities) to achieve financial transparency, maintain short and long-term financial health, and advise the management team
• Provide guidance and consulting on financial matters to senior business team, drawing on specialist colleagues as needed
• Ensure financial service delivery, process improvement, implementation of financial changes
• Resolve complex and more difficult finance issues such as adjusting for taxes, VAT, varying local legal requirements, etc.
• Maintain vendor / service relationship and service level agreements with specific business unit / partner for various financial services
• Develop and implement improvements in existing financial processes, systems and methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency
• Negotiate critical agreements/contracts with other departments and 3rd parties
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across DHL and partner organizations
• Influence others across DHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group
• Lead multiple teams of executives, directors/senior managers, and managers
• Ensure appropriate talent selection, organization and leadership for major areas of the organization
