Job summary
AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Steel Structure Engineer in Riyadh to design, analyze, and oversee steel structures for large projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and PMs to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
The role requires strong CAD and structural analysis skills, familiarity with international codes, and hands-on experience with fabrication processes. You will contribute to site QA, documentation, and technical reporting to support project
Qualifications
- Experience in steel structure design and engineering.
- Proficiency with STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of steel design codes and international building standards.
- CAD proficiency, AutoCAD or similar.
- Understanding of steel fabrication and construction processes.
- Experience with technical drawing preparation and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality assurance in construction.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze steel structures using CAD and structural analysis software.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Conduct structural calculations and finite element analysis.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop cost-effective solutions and manage timelines.
- Review fabrication drawings and shop drawings for quality and adherence to design.
- Perform site inspections and quality assurance checks during fabrication and installation.
- Identify and resolve structural design challenges through analytical problem-solving.
- Maintain organized project documentation and communicate with stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and best practices.
- Support the preparation of technical reports and project proposals.
