Job Purpose

As part of the sales team, you will maximize sales volume, minimize stale inventory, achieve distribution targets, implement merchandising standards, collect accounts receivable, and maintain high levels of customer service. You will also provide market intelligence, attend training, and complete daily debriefs.

Responsibilities
  • Sell the full range of products to an agreed list of customers and meet sales targets.
  • Maintain stale inventory below agreed thresholds and keep customers satisfied through regular visits and a structured route plan.
  • Ensure the sales vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and any defects are reported promptly.
  • Agree on order requirements for the next selling period and maintain agreed stock levels to minimize out-of-stock problems.
  • Implement in-store merchandising plans and coordinate support from merchandising staff as needed.
  • Report competitor activity and daily financial reconciliation of cheques, cash, and credit sales.

  • Daily/weekly sales versus planned sales.
  • Daily positive calls versus plan.
  • Daily call sequence versus plan.
  • Stale inventory versus target.
  • Zero cash and stock shortages.
