Job summary

Safeer in Riyadh is seeking a Design and Engineering professional for Solar PV projects and tenders, including site supervision for installation, testing, and commissioning.

You will design rooftop, ground-mounted and carport systems, select equipment, create layouts and calculations, conduct site feasibility, and prepare submittals and approvals while coordinating with contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
• Knowledge in Solar Equipment/Industry.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer Solar Rooftop, Ground-Mounted and Carport projects.
• Perform site visits and assess feasibility.
• Prepare submittals, approvals, and attend meetings.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and consultants on technical aspects.
• Supervise detailed design, permits, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain daily/weekly project status reports.

Job description

Design and Engineering for all Solar PV projects and tenders, including site supervision for installation, testing, and commissioning of Solar PV projects.

Key Accountabilities:

• Designing and engineering Solar Rooftop & Ground-Mounted & Carport projects, including selection of equipment, creating layouts, schematic diagrams, calculations, technical sizing, and preparing Bill of Quantity and Capex.
• Site Visits, Site feasibility & Solar Systems Design and Customer requirements.
• Participate in Customer, Contractor and Supplier meetings and prepare submittals/approvals.
• Work in close cooperation with Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants on all technical aspects and ensure that all Technical obligations towards customers are fulfilled and meet local standards.
• Supervision and execution of detailed design, approval, permits, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of solar projects and supporting contractors on day-to-day activities.
• Working knowledge of PVSyst and Helioscope software and should have good knowledge of conducting all essential tests required in the entire Solar project execution.
• To provide an up-to-date daily or weekly project status report.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude:

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
• Knowledge: Knowledge in Solar Equipment’s/ Industry.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge in Technical Matters.
• Excellent in using MS Office, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and software.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 Years’ experience in Solar EPC.
