Job summary

Acuative Middle East is seeking a skilled SRE Engineer and Observability expert in Riyadh to design, deploy, and maintain monitoring stacks using Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog. You will build dashboards, define SLIs/SLOs, and implement proactive alerting across services.

Responsibilities include configuring Elasticsearch clusters, ETL pipelines, and ensuring proper instrumentation with dev teams, plus CI/CD and cloud infra management on OCI, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) plus Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled SRE Engineer and Observability to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Elasticsearch and observability solutions, with the ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Elastic environments. This role requires expertise in deploying and managing clusters, developing search solutions, and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Observability

• Design, deploy, and manage monitoring/observability stacks (Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Zabbix)
• Build custom dashboards and KPIs tracking system health, app performance, SLIs/SLOs
• Implement proactive alerting; create and automate alert rules
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Elasticsearch clusters; design ETL pipelines and index templates
• Define metrics, logs, and traces for new services with dev teams

Automation & Infrastructure:

• Create and Manage CI/CD pipelines
• Manage Linux, Kubernetes/Docker, and cloud infra (OCI/GCP/Azure)
• Maintain inventory and documentation of deployments
• On-call rotations, post-incident reviews, runbook/playbook development
• Partner with Dev/QA/Ops to ensure services are properly instrumented
• Train internal teams on dashboards and metrics interpretation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in CS, Engineering, or related (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) plus Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog
• Proficient in Linux, networking, SQL, regex, scripting
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms (OCI/GCP/Azure)
• Logging/tracing/metrics best practices
• APM and basic ML-based anomaly detection exposure a plus
