Job summary

V2X in Saudi Arabia seeks a Power Production Site Manager to oversee a 6M load power plant. You will supervise personnel, coordinate maintenance, and report on performance, fuel use, and safety compliance in a highly paced environment.

The Power Production Site Manager is responsible for managing personnel, resources, and activities devoted to the Power Production operation of a 6M (initial load) Power Plant in accordance with the performance work statement. The qualified candidate will report to the Task Order Manager and may supervisor other American Nationals (ANs), Other Country Nationals (OCNs), and/or Local Nationals (LNs).

Responsibilities
  • Shall be responsible for meeting contractor’s work requirements, including scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and quality control for all tasks associated with this TO.
  • Shall make decisions and direct all sub-contractors on behalf of the prime contractor and all subcontracting services necessary to maintain a capability to perform under this requirement.
    • Shall have knowledge of: Principles of electronics and electricity, including generation, conversion, transformation, distribution, and utilization; types, capacity, and purpose of low/medium voltage circuits, circuit breakers, switches, fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with electric generation and distribution; interpreting instrument and meter readings; wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical publications; techniques of operating and maintaining internal combustion engines, generators, generating plants, distribution panels, and accessory equipment; use and purpose of test equipment; safety rules and practices; environmental policies; principles of management; and operation and repair of electrical power production systems.
  • Shall meet with government customers as needed.
  • Shall accomplish inspection and status reports with diagnosis, estimated timeline for repair actions and list of required parts upon discovery of deficiency.
  • Shall maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and good commercial practices for all maintenance actions to include coordination of work, requesting parts, receiving parts, installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing equipment or systems.
  • Shall provide written reports of hourly peak demand and fuel consumption, inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications of each system or component as required.
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a highly paced environment. Work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks safely, effectively and efficiently.
  • Responsible for meeting contractor’s work requirements, including scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and quality control.
  • Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
  • Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
  • Responsible for precise execution of company time-reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certifications:

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • As a condition of employment in Saudi Arabia, all candidates must successfully complete the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s Qualification Verification Program (QVP) to ensure eligibility for visa processing and employment authorization.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
  • Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to drive with a manual transmission.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
  • Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.

Experience:

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in Power Production operations/electrical power generation field.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and policies regarding the operation of electronic equipment.
  • Must have experience in management and supervision of staff.

Skills:

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Fluent in English with good verbal, reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
  • Exercise discretion and good sound judgment.
  • Able and willing to work long hours to meet mission requirements
  • Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.

Work will be mainly outdoors with office space provided. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.
