Job summary

Sameer Al-Marzouki Engineering Consultants in Jeddah seeks a Saudi architect to supervise interior fit-out works for commercial branches across the Kingdom. You will oversee finishes, ceilings, lighting, joinery and signage on-site, ensuring compliance with drawings and brand standards.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Architecture, SBC knowledge, and 2+ years of supervising fit-out projects, with fluency in Arabic and English and a valid Saudi driving license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers accreditation.
• 2+ years experience with supervision of fit-out/finishing works.
• Knowledge of SBC 201 and SBC 801 as applied to fit-out.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Valid Saudi driving license and willingness to travel between cities.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings.

An engineering consultancy is hiring a Saudi architect to supervise interior fit-out works for commercial branches in several cities across the Kingdom.

What you will do

• Supervise finishes, ceilings, lighting, joinery and signage on site against the approved drawings, specifications and the client's brand standards.
• Inspect works and materials, answer inspection requests, and issue site instructions and non-conformance reports.
• Review the contractor's architectural submittals and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with the contractor and the design team, and raise design queries in writing.
• Keep the daily site record and issue a weekly progress report for each site.
• Run snagging, handover and closeout documents.

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) accreditation.
• 2 years or more of experience, including at least 2 years supervising fit-out or finishing works. Commercial, retail or hospitality projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Saudi Building Code, mainly SBC 201 and the fire code SBC 801 as they apply to fit-out.
• AutoCAD and MS Office. Revit is a plus.
• Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Valid Saudi driving license and readiness to travel between cities.

Work terms

• Based in Jeddah, with travel to sites in other cities.
• Some night or weekend shifts, as the sites stay open during the works.
