Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced planning professional to develop and evaluate plans for major infrastructure projects in the KSA. You will assess feasibility, advise on planning-related matters, and ensure compliance with local regulations, working closely with the Planning Director and elected officials.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Primavera P6, PMP, AACE are desirable.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for projects and activities.
  • Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products.
  • Provides management of IE-related planning issues and advises Planning Director.
  • Oversees large-scale development proposals and environmental studies.
  • Prepares reports on operations and suggests improvements.

Job Description
  • Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
  • Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products.
  • Usually performs as a staff advisor and consultant as to a technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  • Oversees specialized planning functions, such as large-scale new development proposals and environmental studies.
  • Provides overall management of IE-related planning issues.
  • Advises the Planning Director on all planning-related matters.
  • Advises various councils, boards, commissions and elected officials in planning related issues
  • Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities.
  • Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications are desirable, such as:
    • Primavera P6 Certification
    • PMP (Project Management Professional)
    • AACE certifications (advantageous)
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.
