Job summary

slihrms is seeking a Senior Traffic and Detour Engineer to lead planning, design, review, and implementation of traffic management and detour strategies for major road projects. You will ensure safety, minimize disruption, and maintain network performance during construction and operation.

You will provide technical leadership for TMPs, detour schemes, traffic modeling, and coordination with clients, authorities, and contractors, delivering high-quality plans, reports, and site oversight.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline.
Master's degree in Transportation Engineering or Traffic Engineering preferred.
Professional membership with a recognized engineering institution preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and review of Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), Detour Plans, and Temporary Traffic Control Plans for infrastructure and road projects.
Design safe, efficient, and practical detour schemes to accommodate construction activities while maintaining traffic flow and minimizing congestion.
Develop traffic staging and phasing plans aligned with construction sequencing and project delivery schedules.
Ensure detour designs address safety, accessibility, emergency vehicle access, and operational continuity.
Provide technical oversight during implementation of detours and temporary traffic management measures.
