Job summary

Hill Intl. is seeking a Senior Tunnel Construction Engineer to oversee bored tunnels and underground cavern works within the TTT program. You will provide technical leadership, construction oversight, and ensure safety, quality, and digital delivery in line with client standards.

The role requires close collaboration with the PMC/client team to maintain program, cost, and operational objectives. Ideal candidates have 15+ years in bored tunnel and cavern construction, with expertise in TBM

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in civil, mining, or tunnelling engineering.
• 15+ years in bored tunnel and underground cavern construction.
• Expertise in TBM tunnelling (EPB, slurry, or hard rock) and cavern construction (SEM/NATM or drill & blast).
• Experience with TBM breakthrough and decommissioning.
• PMC/EPC or client-side experience preferred.
• Knowledge of TBM operations, recovery, and dismantling.
• Understanding underground logistics, heavy lifting, and ground control systems.
• Familiarity with environmental compliance standards for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and construction oversight for bored tunnels and underground cavern works.
• Ensure alignment with client safety, quality, sustainability, and digital delivery standards.
• Maintain program, cost, and operational objectives.
• Oversee TBM excavation, cavern construction, breakthrough, decommissioning, and site demobilization.
• Coordinate with PMC/client team, design consultants, and construction contractors.
• Manage contractor governance and construction risk.
• Coordinate temporary works and demobilization processes.
• Ensure environmental compliance for large-scale projects.
• Stay updated with ITA guidelines, Saudi Codes, Eurocodes, and NEOM requirements.
