Job summary

Confidential Careers in Riyadh is seeking a senior mechanical designer to produce detailed designs and drawings for complex mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring manufacturability and configuration control. You will develop 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks, prepare ICDs, BOMs, and manufacturing drawings, and ensure alignment with system requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in defense/detailed design, a mechanical engineering degree, and hands-on experience with materials,

Qualifications

• Detailed design and drafting experience in defense or military sector.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials science.
• Experience with 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and Scan-to-CAD workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO 2768 and ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles.
• Ability to develop PBS, ECPs, and maintain configuration control.

Responsibilities

• Design drawings for mechanical and electronic systems ensuring manufacturability.
• Create accurate 3D models/assemblies in SolidWorks; develop ICDs and wiring layouts.
• Prepare BOMs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawings; apply GD&T per standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and engineering to resolve issues.
• Support prototype build, dimensional validation, and fixture development.
