Job summary

Tafawul Future Company for Trading & Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and interim payment applications for civil infrastructure and building projects. The role requires coordinating with site teams, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure compliant measurements and timely submissions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years in a similar role, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong Excel

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Civil Infrastructure & Building Construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in cost estimating and contract management; strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing construction plans, prepare and manage quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and contract terms
  • Compiles and maintains all supporting documents and backups for the executed works and the measurement thereof including signed QS sheets, progress records etc.
  • Prepares and submits the interim payment applications in accordance with payment mechanism and procedures ensuring that all executed works are measured and claimed.
  • Participates in the assessment of variations and claims.
  • Prepares B.o.Q.
  • Verifies subcontract measurements and payment applications.
  • Liaises with all project sections in quantity measurement, recording and reporting matters.
  • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other relevant documents.
  • Monitor construction progress and documents deviations to ensure the best outcomes during claims management.
  • Traveling from the office to various sites as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the relevant industry, with a focus on Civil Infrastructure & Building Construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in cost estimating, contract management, and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.
