Jacobs is actively seeking a Senior Protection & Control Engineer to support transmission and renewable energy projects in the Middle East, UK, and Europe. You will lead FEED and detailed design for protection and control systems, review interface designs, and coordinate with global teams to deliver high‑quality packages and technical bids.
You will mentor engineers, engage with clients, and contribute to commissioning and FAT/SAT activities. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or power engineering
- Saudi Council of Engineers registration held or obtainable; chartered or professional engineer status desirable
- Experience with SEC, National Grid SA, Saudi Aramco, GCC Interconnection Authority, DEWA, TRANSCO, OETC or other Middle East utility standards is highly desirable
Mansioni
- Lead FEED and detailed design for Protection & Control systems across transmission and renewable projects.
- Develop and review interface designs, protection schemes, and control philosophies.
- Ensure QA and timely delivery of design packages and technical bids.
- Undertake site visits and non-intrusive surveys for design or site support.
- Coordinate with back-office engineers, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Support tendering activities and contribute to technical offers.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability development.
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
- Design and review IEC 61850 Substation Automation Systems and related components.
