Jacobs seeks a Senior Protection & Control Engineer to support high-profile Power & Energy projects in the Middle East, UK, and Europe. You will lead FEED and detailed design for protection, review schemes, and ensure delivery across HV AIS/GIS substations and energy storage systems.
You will work with Siemens SIPROTEC, Hitachi Energy/ABB RE_ series, and other relays, performing coordination studies and providing expertise in protection philosophies and system integration.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Engineering or related field.
- Experience with protection and control design for HV AIS/GIS substations.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61850 and substation automation concepts.
Mansioni
- Lead FEED and detailed design for protection and control systems across HV projects.
- Develop and review protection schemes and control philosophies.
- Ensure QA and timely delivery of design packages and bids.
- Perform site surveys and support activities.
- Coordinate with engineers, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Support tendering and technical offers.
- Mentor junior engineers and support business development.
- Maintain client relationships and project execution excellence.
- Design/review IEC 61850 substations and SCADA integration.
- Coordinate protection settings for 110–380 kV assets.
- Manage relay platforms and configuration software.
- Conduct protection studies with ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, CAPE/ASPEN.
