Job description

Omega Talent is currently representing a specialist Data Centre Developer who are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of a major data centre project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from early design through construction, and commissioning, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a large-scale data centre project
• Manage all project phases: design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
• Act as the primary client interface and senior point of contact
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers
• Oversee consultants, contractors, and specialist vendors
• Ensure compliance with international and local standards
• Drive HSE, quality, and governance across all workstreams
• Manage change control, reporting, and stakeholder communications
• Lead multidisciplinary teams (MEP, Civil, IT, Security, Commissioning)

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 12 years experience in major construction projects
• At least 5 years’ experience delivering data centre or mission-critical facilities (hyperscale, colocation, banking, telecoms)
• Proven experience in complex, fast-track environments
• Proven track record managing projects valued USD 100M+
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (power, cooling, BMS, fire, security) and data centre design and operations
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (FIDIC preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Project Management certification (PMP / PRINCE2 / APM) preferred
• Chartered status (or working towards) is an advantage
• Experience working in the GCC is preferable
