Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team for a multi-billion-dollar building and infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Planning, Scheduling and reporting services in alignment with best practices by supporting the project management team to ensure the projects are completed within the stipulated time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
- Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provides statistical reports.
- Prepare and Review deliverables such as Schedules, Implementation Plans, Timelines, trackers etc.
- Develop and maintain the project schedule(s) by managing the changes during the project lifecycle.
- Review the schedules for compliance with the international best practices.
- Review and provide input to the existing processes and procedures.
- Analyze critical path(s), evaluate progress, and forecast status against an established baseline schedule.
- Assess the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Provide Time Impact Analysis for the Extension of Time claims by the Vendors / Contractors
- Report status of schedule to Project Management team as well as to the client.
- Assist Reporting and Project Controls Manager in progress reporting internally and externally
- Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
- Review project performance by applying the Earned Value Management principles.
- Perform variance analysis and prepare the analysis report.
- Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
- Accumulate historical data for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
- May supervise and provide performance reviews for one or more lower-level Project Control Specialists and/or support personnel.
- May Complete performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or related field and minimum 10 years ofexperience in Planning/Scheduling, utilizing Primavera Project Management'P6'.
- Experience working on Entertainment or Leisure projects.
- Proven experience in utilization of Earned Value Management in performance analysis andreporting.
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.
- Must be able to represent Parsons in front of clients in meetings/presentations
- Proficiency in various software such as Primavera (P6), Microsoft Office Suite, and working experience with the PMIS. Knowledge and experience in Power BI will be an asset
- Must have excellent skills in utilizing MS Office applications, especially Excel. Must be able to create and maintain complex spreadsheets, including the utilization
