Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline recognized in the oil and gas industry.
• Minimum 7 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of direct MPD operational and engineering experience.
• Strong MPD knowledge including drilling hydraulics, pressure management and well control principles.
• Experience performing hydraulic simulations, pressure modeling and engineering analysis.
• Experience supporting onshore and offshore drilling operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong customer-facing and technical communication skills.
• IWCF or IADC Well Control certification preferred.
• Knowledge of API/ISO and industry regulatory standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for MPD operations including hydraulic calculations, pressure analysis, simulations and planning.
• Responsible for the technical execution and optimization of MPD operations at the rig site and remote locations.
• Provide engineering guidance to ensure safe and efficient delivery of MPD services onsite.
• Remain on call 24 hours while on site and provide technical support as required.
• Prepare and review daily operational reports, hydraulic models, simulations, lessons learned and end-of-well reports.
• Support pre-job planning activities including risk assessments, technical reviews and readiness evaluations.
