Job summary

Eram Talent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Central Maintenance - Shop in Saudi Arabia to oversee maintenance activities in the central workshop, ensuring equipment reliability and safe operations in a petrochemical setting.

The role requires planning, supervising, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, leading turnaround support, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of petrochemical or refinery maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience with rotating and static equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise central maintenance workshop activities.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, implement appropriate maintenance procedures, and oversee repairs of equipment and machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, reports, and equipment history.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities minimizing downtime.
• Perform maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, etc.)
• Lead and support workshop operations, including mechanical repairs, overhauling, and refurbishment activities
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance within petrochemical plant facilities
• Participate in plant shutdowns and turnaround activities, ensuring timely and safe completion of tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and quality requirements in all maintenance operations
• Evaluate and recommend improvements for maintenance processes and equipment performance
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in petrochemical or refinery maintenance environments
• Strong hands-on experience with rotating and static equipment maintenance and repair
• Proven experience in workshop operations and shutdown/turnaround support
• Good knowledge of safety standards, maintenance procedures, and industry best practice
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, mechanical systems, and machinery diagnostics.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to maintenance operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead and work within a team.
