Job summary

Atkins Realis Group is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to review and supervise the installation of mechanical building systems for high-rise and large-scale projects. You will monitor construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements, and conduct site inspections and witness testing to verify workmanship and quality.

You will coordinate with architects, civil, structural, and electrical engineers and contractors, review mechanical calculations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; master's preferred.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ASHRAE or CIBSE are advantageous.
• LEED AP or sustainability certifications are desirable.
• 10 to 15 years of professional Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Experience on major high-rise and large-scale building projects.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and supervise installation of mechanical building systems for high-rise and large-scale projects.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing to verify workmanship and quality.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, structural, electrical engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Review mechanical calculations, equipment selections, and engineering documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Support testing, balancing, commissioning, and performance verification activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements throughout project execution.
• Assist in design review meetings, progress meetings and technical workshops.
• Support value engineering initiatives and recommend cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Review contractor progress reports and provide technical input on project status.
• Assist in authority inspections, approvals and project handover activities.
