A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves collaborating with colleagues across the Middle East and internationally reviewing and commenting on supply and service contracts, advising on legal matters related to contract execution, and supporting procurement activities. Additionally, you’ll provide compliance support, resolve complex legal issues, negotiate contracts, and manage risks to drive innovation and support the energy transition within the Gas Services Business Area.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management and the business, managing legal matters and risks related to commercial, trade, and contract law for Siemens Energy’s Gas Services Business in Saudi Arabia.
  • Analyze, review, and provide proactive advice on tenders and contracts, including equipment supply, service, and procurement agreements, while participating in contract negotiations.
  • Support project execution, proactive claim management for major projects in Saudi Arabia, and procurement activities for local factories.
  • Contribute to contract standardization, process improvement, and collaborate closely with the global Legal and Compliance community.
  • Advise management and business on Compliance topics such as anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, anti-trust, data privacy, export control, and human rights, ensuring adherence to internal guidelines and external regulations.
  • Manage Compliance due diligence, business partner reviews, gifts and hospitality assessments, conduct regular Compliance updates with management, and develop training programs for key stakeholders.
What You Bring
  • Several years of professional experience in the legal department of an international company or a law firm, with a focus on international projects.
  • Proven expertise in managing legal risks in complex transactions, contract negotiations, claim management, and Compliance-related matters.
  • Deep knowledge of Saudi law, including civil and commercial transactional law, energy and infrastructure law, product safety, regulatory compliance, and Saudi governmental tenders and procurement laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge in complex projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills, customer-oriented mindset, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to balance risks and opportunities effectively.
  • Team player with the ability to work in an international environment, manage multiple demands, and collaborate with regional management and internal stakeholders.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English; additional language skills are a plus.
