Job summary

AECOM is seeking a GIS Specialist to support infrastructure and roads engineering projects by leveraging Geographic Information Systems for design, mapping, and spatial analysis. The role blends GIS expertise with transportation knowledge to aid planning, asset management, and system optimization.

Responsibilities include GIS design for road networks, geodatabase development, data validation, and producing maps and reports to inform engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional GIS design, development, and spatial analysis experience
• Proficiency with industry GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS or equivalents)
• Strong geodatabase design, development, and management experience for large-scale networks
• Experience creating maps, reports, and spatial analyses for infrastructure planning

Responsibilities

• Designs GIS for roads infrastructure mapping, network analysis, and spatial planning
• Contributes to geodatabase design for road networks, transportation corridors, and assets
• Packages and analyzes GIS data related to roads, traffic systems, and networks
• Creates spatial databases and manages geospatial information for planning and design applications
• Generates technical maps and reports to support engineering decisions and optimization
• Performs data conversion and integration from multiple sources
• May supervise GIS technicians in data assembly and QA processes
