Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced GIS professional in Riyadh to lead advanced GIS design, mapping and analysis across major rail and infrastructure projects. You will design geodatabases, integrate GIS data with BIM and engineering systems, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver client-ready solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12+ years in GIS, with ArcGIS expertise and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 12 years of professional GIS experience.
Minimum 5 years supporting major rail, metro, or infrastructure projects.
Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS and spatial database management.
Demonstrated expertise in mapping and geospatial analysis.
Exceptional analytical and technical reporting capabilities.
Proven ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience integrating GIS data with BIM, engineering systems, and asset management platforms.
Advanced competency in geospatial data integration and systems architecture.

Responsibilities

Works under general direction.
Programs and applies a broad range of GIS software for GIS design, mapping and analysis.
Independently contributes to the design of databases or development of geodatabases and analyzes GIS data.
May evaluate commercial GIS applications, as well as design and develop GIS applications for internal use and for client deliverables.
Independently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expected.
Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
