Senior GIS Geologist for Mine Exploration & 3D Modelling

Job summary

SRG MINING is seeking a GIS Geologist to own and build the spatial database for gold exploration in Saudi Arabia. You will become the GIS owner for the exploration team, turning field, drilling and geochemical data into maps and models that guide exploration decisions.

You will lead data standards, integrate multi-source datasets, and produce maps for management and regulatory reporting, using ArcGIS, QGIS, Micromine and Leapfrog in a fast-paced mining context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geomatics, GIS or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years GIS experience, with at least 3 years in mining or mineral exploration.
• Advanced ArcGIS skills (ArcGIS Pro / ArcMap); QGIS is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Micromine and/or Leapfrog.
• Proven experience designing and building a GIS database.
• Strong understanding of geological data such as drilling, assays and structural data.

Responsibilities

• Build the company’s GIS database from scratch, including structure, standards and data validation
• Integrate and manage geological, geochemical, geophysical, drilling and survey data
• Produce geological maps, sampling plans, drill-hole location maps and technical layouts
• Work with Micromine and Leapfrog for 3D modelling and data visualization
• Process satellite imagery and remote sensing data for target generation
• Support field teams with GPS data collection and QA/QC of spatial data
• Prepare maps and spatial outputs for management and regulatory reports
