Job summary

Uasmart in Jubail, Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Gas Detection System Technician to inspect, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, install and maintain gas detection and fire alarm systems on a major project.

The ideal candidate has at least five years’ experience in Saudi Arabia with gas detection, SABIC experience, and hands-on knowledge of control panels, sensors, detectors, and related devices within industrial safety systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics.
• Minimum five years of experience in Saudi Arabia working with gas detection systems.
• Previous SABIC work experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in gas detection system calibration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Fire & Gas alarm systems and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of Fire & Gas systems.
• Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot gas detection equipment.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning gas detection and fire protection equipment.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
• Install, maintain, and test fire alarm systems and associated devices.
• Inspect control panels, detectors, alarms, sensors, batteries, and related components.
• Prepare compliance documentation and system performance reports.
• Carry out conduit bending and device termination during installation.
