Job summary

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Facility Management Engineer to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of landscape and green infrastructure operations and maintenance activities across our properties. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals while ensuring optimal facility performance, safety compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities and expertise in landscape and irrigation systems management.

• Oversee daily landscape and green infrastructure operations, including irrigation systems, pumping stations, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Manage tree care and arboriculture maintenance programs, including pruning, health monitoring, pest management, and seasonal treatments to ensure tree vitality and safety
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and schedules for landscape features, irrigation networks, and pumping stations to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Manage facility budgets, analyze operational costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and water efficiency improvements across landscape operations
• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of landscape maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality benchmarks
• Conduct regular landscape and irrigation system inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliances issues
• Coordinate with vendors and specialized contractors for landscape maintenance, tree services, pumping station repairs, and capital improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with local Saudi regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols for landscape and irrigation operations
• Utilize facility management software and systems to track maintenance activities, equipment performance, and work orders for landscape operations
• Develop and execute water management and sustainability strategies to reduce consumption and operational expenses
• Prepare detailed reports on landscape performance, maintenance activities, tree health assessments, and recommendations for senior management
• Respond to emergency situations and coordinate rapid resolution of critical landscape and irrigations issues
• Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and landscape-related initiatives

What do we need from you

10 to 15+ years of landscape O&M management or grounds operations experience, with at least 8 years in a senior or supervisory role.

Skills / Competencies:

• Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation systems, pumping stations, water distribution networks, and landscape mechanical equipment
• Expertise in arboriculture, tree care, plant health management, and horticultural maintenance practices
• Proficiency with facility management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong project management capabilities with experience overseeing landscape capital improvement projects
• Demonstrated expertise in budget management, cost analysis, and financial planning for landscape operations
• Proven leadership and team management experience with landscape maintenance technicians and contractors
• Advanced knowledge of safety protocols, environmental compliance standards, and Saudi Arabian landscape and irrigation regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of landscape design principles and water management systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic
