Job Description

Objective: This position is responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs within the distribution center. The role ensures compliance with local regulations and company standards, conducts risk assessments, promotes a strong safety culture, and supports continuous improvement in workplace safety and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibility
HSE Policy Implementation
  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and operational guidelines aligned with local laws and company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with global and regional safety standards and regulatory bodies.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Recommend and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor compliance with safety protocols and support audit readiness.
Incident Management
  • Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
  • Maintain incident reports and corrective action tracking systems.
Training & Awareness
  • Organize safety training programs, toolbox talks, and HSE inductions for employees and contractors.
  • Promote safety culture through awareness campaigns and continuous communication.
Safety Inspections & Emergency Preparedness
  • Perform routine safety inspections of equipment, storage areas, and emergency systems.
  • Develop and conduct emergency drills and response plans in coordination with relevant teams.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for safety inspections, incident logs, and training attendance.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards for HSE leadership and DC management.
PPE & Environmental Initiatives
  • Ensure availability and correct usage of PPE across all operational areas.
  • Support environmental sustainability projects such as waste reduction and energy conservation.
Desired Experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety & Environment, preferably within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.
  • Working knowledge of occupational safety regulations and international HSE standards.
  • Hands‑on experience in conducting safety audits, trainings, and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills with an ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
