AECOM in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation engineer to support advanced control systems on major infrastructure projects. You will gather data, perform detailed design work, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional engineering experience in instrumentation and control systems design, implementation, or maintenance.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing complex ICT and instrumentation systems.
• Strong proficiency in developing technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and system analyses.
• Solid understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements applicable to instrumentation and control systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple engineering assignments within budget and schedule constraints.
• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in engineering design tools and software relevant to instrumentation and controls

Job Description

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Identifies discrepancies in results and recommends corrective actions.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to entry level engineers on technical concepts and best practices.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Develops and maintains comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and system analyses.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams including project managers, quality assurance specialists, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conducts quality assurance reviews and oversees testing protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoots complex instrumentation and control system issues, implementing solutions that optimize system performance and reliability.
• Participates in design reviews and provides technical recommendations to improve system efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related engineering discipline

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Experience with design review processes and quality assurance protocols
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
• Knowledge of automation and control system platforms
• Experience in a regulated industry environment
