Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the paper or tissue manufacturing industry.
• Fair proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication).
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check and inspect electrical parts/equipment across the plant and report abnormalities.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures per job specs and codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity using testing devices to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Inspect systems for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools to locate and fix issues.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring and fixtures with hand/power tools.
• Report abnormalities observed during preventive maintenance.
• Assist during emergencies with lighting, generators, flares, and vehicle support.
• Perform duties in safe and environmentally friendly ways.

Job description

Key Accountabilities:

• Checks, inspects all the electrical parts/equipment in the whole plant. Reports all abnormalities observed, notification generation against abnormalities.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Reporting of any abnormality noticed in the equipment while executing the preventive maintenance work order.
• Notification generation against the abnormality observed in the equipment’s.
• Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.
• Execute activities related to his/her function in safe and environmental friendly methods.
