Job summary

Salla is seeking a Senior Data Analyst/Analytics Engineer to own data and analytics for Gen AI and Recommendation Systems in a hybrid setup in Saudi Arabia. You will lead centralized reporting, build scalable pipelines, and craft feature-rich data models to support ML, dashboards, and APIs.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Product, and Backend teams to define metrics and drive data-driven decisions across products and experiments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer.
• Expert Python and Advanced SQL.
• Strong BI/visualization with Looker or Tableau.
• Experience building data pipelines and orchestration (Mage AI, Airflow, Prefect).
• Deep ClickHouse or modern data warehouse experience.
• Hands-on data modeling using Kimball, Data Vault, or OBT.
• Familiar with ML data flows, feature stores and ranking metrics.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable batch and streaming pipelines for analytics and ML use cases.
• Define key metrics and centralized reporting to surface actionable insights.
• Design and own multi-layer data models (staging to feature-ready marts).
• Engineer data flows for ML feature stores and graph data where relevant.
• Implement CDC and event-driven flows (Kafka) to refresh reporting and recommendations.
• Build and manage workflows with orchestration tools (Mage AI, Airflow, Prefect).
• Provide ML-aware support by defining ranking metrics and features needed by models.
